Wind Leaseholder Database
River RATs has obtained the list of current wind leaseholders from Jefferson County Public Records. As we understand it, all wind leases for Horse Creek are required by law to be listed with the county. We are assembling leaseholder names and property maps for future publication.
Video Resources
A powerful documentary that explores Ontario's rapid industrial wind development, including the health problems that rural residents claim are a result of living near massive wind turbines.
Living near industrial wind turbines means a 24 hour struggle with flickering turbine blade shadows and noise, features that some residents say cause human and animal health problems.
The Tug Hill, located about 45 minutes southeast of Horse Creek, already experiences the effects of industrial wind. Residents speak about ruined roads, jobs that were promised but never came through, and express opinions about how the turbines affect tourism.
Imagine how Horse Creek's turbines will convert the peaceful drives into  Depauville, Clayton, and Lafargeville into mechanical landscapes dominated by noise, shadow flicker and power lines.
